a Christmas story, a silly one really….

Christmas isn't a season...it's a feeling. ~Edna Ferber

It’s raining on this dreary cool Tuesday morning as I sit here in the quiet. It’s nice to be home alone and reflecting on the season. A morning for drinking a new coffee I found called polar express~o….so good and feels so good on this sore throat of mine. I’m still fighting this cold while shopping online for some new Christmas shoes to wear to a party. There's a Christmas carol playing in the background…soothing my soul. I still have lots of things to do before our Christmas vacation starts…A Christmas card or two to write, still have to deck the halls with decorations and lights…I even have a elf, a BIG one, that I need to put out on the lawn and plug him in next to Prancer and the little drummer boy. Frosty the snowman is already up and getting wet in the rain…but he won’t melt…he’s plastic! Oh how I wish we could have a white Christmas here in the south! Old Jack Frost is the only one who visits us…him and Mr. Rainy. Oh well…those are the breaks…Santa Claus is coming to town anyway, rain or shine, snow or sleet, and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer will be pulling his sleigh and his bells will jingle all the way. This scrooge of bad weather we are having will not hinder our
happy holiday season.
It’s a wonderful life knowing what Christmas really means…Jesus’ birthday!
On my list that I’ve made…all I want for Christmas is for everyone to know this. It would be wonderful and a miracle on 34th street and 10th avenue and route 66 if everyone knew this and acknowledge it! Sorry I got carried away….What’s on your list….maybe a boyfriend for Christmas if you’re single or a huge diamond ring, or just something nice from someone that loves you. A kiss under the mistletoe would be nice too….Oh one year I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus under some of that stuff….it was so funny! He could have gotten arrested by my dad and spent the holiday in handcuffs! What a hoot…if Santa did not deliver all the presents to the little kids then we would not know how the Grinch stole Christmas. Anyway…I not getting much done sitting here writing this silly story about Christmas and all the things that are going on….I’ve got to get busy because the night before Christmas will be here before I know it and then it will be too late. So dash away dash away dash away all….off to work I go.
May your season be bright and merry with all things glad and happy.
The End

OK….have you detected a theme going on here. There is something unique in my story. Try to figure it out and let me know how many you come up with. They are hidden within the story.  You have to name the theme and then guess the correct number to win. Win~a little surprise!! Good luck!

disclosure: parts of this story are true...very few parts actually...like the rain, the bad cold, and wanting everyone to know the true meaning of Chistmas.

Today is the day to draw a winner for my give-away…We’ll do it as soon as Jackie gets home from work around 4:00….Good luck to everyone! Thanks for all the wonderful visits and comments
that you share with me each day.

I look forward to each day with you!
Merry Christmas!

Well if I get to count some that are not Christmas movies...I have 25. But, if you don't count "Big" and "Hoot" - I have 23.
