I am grateful for the past and the present. The past has to happen before the present or the past would not be the past it would be the present. I love capturing old buildings, churches, and abandonments. They are a thing of our past. Without the past we do not have the present and shall have no future. But gosh it seems time sure has a way of running so fast these days…so I’ll linger in the past and the bygones of things and move on into the present and see how it goes. Wherever I stand I am grateful for both!
Dr. Seuss says it so well:
"They say I'm old-fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast!”
Note: I'm also grateful today for doctors and nurses.
My 86 year old Mother-n-law had some minor surgery today and is doing well.

LOL I agree with that quote. I wouldn't change the past either because it shaped who I am now.
this reminds me so much of the church I grew up in, back in S.C. So glad to hear that your Mother in law is doing well :)

So glad your mother-in-law is doing well.
I absolutely LOVE photos of old barns and churches! The old country church reminds me of my past where I spent many hours learning about God and worshipping Him. Those days have helped to mold me to the person I am today. I still enjoy going back to that same old country church every time I go "back home". Wow! So many memories there!
