Yesterday at church, our pastor spoke of the ways in which people share Christ. He asked us how we were sharing Him with others. I pondered this question on into the evening carrying it with me to bed in prayer. What was I doing to share Christ; to let His light shine through me so that others could see it and know Him too?
So I realized it was very simple….I would share a Word with you here, in my happy place. I will not have a regular schedule for this spreading of His Word with you;
only as it spurs me through Him and for Him.
So without further ado….A Word for you today:
When we spend time in God's presence, we will experience an increase in our joy, contentment, peace, and satisfaction. Specifically, David told the Lord, “in Your presence is fullness of joy” Psalm 16:11, AMP. Clearly, God will pour joy into our lives when we spend time in His presence. Then, we can take that joy and show it to those around us.
~I love sharing this with you my friends.
*****
There are great changes that can occur when we
spend time with God. In God's presence is the
only place where we can become more like Christ.
Then, once God has changed us,the world will be astonished and
see that we have been with Jesus.
~ I guess we will have that guilty look of love and joy on our faces.
*****
We can be joyful at all times...not because we are spared affliction but because we are completely satisfied in Christ.
~I love that. It’s fulfilling like a hot bowl of chili in winter.
*****
We can be joyful not by creating a bubbly-faced facade of happiness to hide reality but rather by confidently knowing that, in the face of immense sin and suffering, we are secure in Christ. To put it positively, rejoice that you have received the Holy Spirit, who guarantees your eternal salvation~and thus, your eternal joy (2 Corinthians 1:21-22).
~Oh what joy I have knowing this! And it even comes with a guarantee…
Keeping it real…

The devil believes in God…why shouldn’t you?
When God leads you to the edge of the cliff, trust Him fully and let go. 1 of 2 things will happen, either He'll catch you when you fall, or He'll teach you how to fly!

What a beautiful post Cora! I'm very happy you shared your thoughts and this wonderful scripture. As a whole I find the Bible hard to understand because it was written so long ago and they spoke so differently, but when you read a single passage it makes it so much clearer and meaningful. Your daisy picture is gorgeous too. Have a gorgeous day yourself!
Thank you Sares.... I know what you mean about the difficulty of reading and understanding. That's why I get discouraged in reading the Bible like I know I should. I believe in my heart this will be good for me to do these postings.
Blessings to you...
thank you for sharing your heart today.
Jer: 29:11
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Thanks Char for this verse. I know He has some awesome plans for us as we walk with Him in 2010.
Cora, I loved the post, I especially liked the last quote, two things will happen either God will catch you, or teach you how to fly. That is so true. Your blog is so lovely, simply stunning, because of you I think I have fallen in love with pink too.////I have never been a pink girl. till now I guess. Have a great day......swoon over your photo.
Your writing is always lovely, but today it is especially inspiring! Awesome!
Philippians 4:8
And now, dear, friends, let me say one more thing as I close this letter. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned from me and heard from me and saw me doing, and the God of peace will be with you.
I used to have trouble reading the Bible because I was doing it start to finish. Then, I read a Chapter in the Old Testament and then went to the New Testament. Then I saw how great God is! Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us today!
Thank you Cindy, Traci and Dani. Each thought and comment left here has let me know that this is very worth~while. I appreciate your comments as they inspire me to continue to share with everyone so that we all can learn more!

Thank you for sharing of your heart, Cora! I was just saying a bedtime prayer with my daughter and I was asking God to help us as a family in this new year to spread His love and His joy in every thing that we do and say. I truly desire that!
