Honest Scrap

This blogger award is from my photographer friend, Char also known as Lanie by her family! *she’s gonna kill me* Check out her inspirational ramblins and beautiful photography.  Thank you Char for including me!

The Honest Scrap Guidelines and Rules~here's what you do:
1) Say thanks to the presenter of the award.
2) Share 10 Honest Things about yourself.
3) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs you find brilliant in content and/or design or those who have encouraged you and then inform them of such, of course.
My count-down of 10 honest facts about moi
~9 useless and 1 very important.

10* Speaking of scrap…..I tend to save tiny scraps of things…paper, cloth, ribbon, anything that can be used over again in a craft project or scrapbooking. That little piece of pretty paper might look good behind a photo and that ribbon will look perfect tied in a bow and added as an embellishment on a trash to treasure project. I also have a special drawer that I put these scraps in! And buttons….don’t even get me started.

9* I would like to think that I speak my piece of mind openly…but sometimes I am not that bold. Always afraid I might hurt someone in doing so. However I do believe my opinion is important...to me anyway!

8* I love staying at home…so much to do, even though my daughter is grown now. I wish I had been blessed enough to have stayed at home with her when she was growing up….however she did turn out rather nice!  My days are filled with cleaning *never ending*, crafting, painting on projects, scrapbooking, photography, blogging, shopping and running errands. I’m a homebody!

7* I have this thing; a fetish of sorts….I can’t stand something that is crooked. A hanging picture, an off balanced photo, crooked glasses on someone’s face…..anything not level! Drives me crazy! Like when you post a photo on the side bar of your blog and it does not center!!! Ugh! But I found a great blog that will help you out with these things: I Love the Way She Blogs  On her right side bar look for “the good stuff”.  As for crooked cockeyed glasses...well...go have them straightened, there are people trained for this!

6* People who scream at their children in public irritate me. They, the adult (and I use that term loosely), just want attention drawn to themselves. Oh they are so getting some attention from me…..my glaring looks of disapproval and bad thoughts of them. Then they proceed to smack the child and scream at a higher octave than before. I pride myself to say “I try not to judge people” but the conclusion I have for this breed of people is not good! And the sad fact-of-the-matter is that the child will more than likely grow up to do more of the same!

5* The name of my blog, Heartfelt and Homemade, is so true. My thoughts and writings are from the heart with added facts, knowledge, inspirations, and humor. Gotta have humor it’s good for the soul! My crafts are defiantly homemade…scraped from junk joined together with love and creative ideas. My cooking…well it’s from the heart and homemade too and it sometimes give me...heart-burn!

4* I can cry at the drop of a hat…tear jerker movies, emotional events, deaths, births, joyous occasions, Wal-Mart grand openings…..and the list goes on….Give me a Hallmark card and look out. Send me a nice thoughtful message and I’m done in! BooWhoo.

3* I am a lover of Dr. Seuss books. I started buying them for Holly when she was very small and to this day I still look for the ones we do not have in our collection. Old ones, new ones, red ones blues ones…it really does not matter, however I do get giddy when I find an old collectable one at the thrift store! What a prize! We probably have a least 150 of them. Mind you, they are not all written by Dr. Seuss himself but anything in the “I can read it all by myself” Dr. Seuss beginner book series….Want it, need it, got to have it!

2* I do not like to go to bed with my kitchen in a mess…Yuk!

1* I love my Lord Jesus…He has taught me how to live, how to give and how to honestly be me. Without Him it is true…I would be nothing. Through His love I have experienced the passion of: *giving unselfishly; *praying, knowing that I will be heard and answered; and *faithfully abiding in His promises. No….. I do not think higher of myself than others; but I do know that I have a better life now and hereafter in eternity because I have experienced His love and friendship.  He's the best friend you'll ever have.

And if that was not enough and you would like more; read this: Tagged on Flickr

TAGGED............
Now for ayone that would like to play along in this game of giving out your nitty gritty details...go ahead.  Everyone and anyone is invited.....go grab the award pix above and link me back if you will.  Thanks and have fun!

I'm a homebody - mostly though sometimes I get the wonderlust in my feet. Just sometimes I want to break free.

you're a beautiful person Cora - beautiful through and through.

I so feel you about the children crying in public thing. My nieces and nephews both know if they start cutting up with me, we leave immediately and go home. I don't care what we're doing. No argument, just pick up and go.
